2005 Season NEGDS PRO “Super Stock Twins” Classes
since the
2003 race season NEGDS introduces 4 new classes which will replace the N.A. Improved Twin classes. The new “Super Stock Twin” classes follow the
same basic rules as the ISR Improved stock classes but with some refinements
and weight breaks.
Super
Stock Twin 600 Minimum weight driver & sled 650 lbs.
Super
Stock Twin 700 Minimum weight driver & sled 675 lbs.
Super
Stock Twin 800 Minimum weight driver & sled 700 lbs.
Super
Stock Twin 1000 Minimum weight driver & sled 725 lbs.
· Long
track kits allowed, must be OEM parts as purchased at dealer.
·
Like
engine in its brand chassis, must be within 10 years of manufacture.
·
Aftermarket cylinders allowed.
· Aftermarket
and externally modified crankcases allowed as long as they meet OEM external
specifications.
·
Maximum
overbore of 2% over class cc limit
·
Maximum
overbore of 5% over class limit in the 1000 class. (1050 cc)
·
ISR
approved clutch guards mandatory.
·
ISR
approved tunnel enclosures mandatory.
·
Sled
movement form stock classes (Pro division) to SST classes not required to
have Improved stock clutch guard or tunnel enclosure and must meet the ISR
stock filed weight rules for the make and model sled.
Amateur “Super Stock Twins” Classes
Since 2003 NEGDS has 4 new “Amateur Super Stock Twins” classes (A/SST)
These 4 new classes are for twins cylinder sheds only and will follow our
regular amateur based rules. Sleds competing in these classes may be amateur
improved and will adhere to those rules.
Amateur Super Stock Twin 600

Amateur Super Stock Twin 1000

Sled must be OEM filed sled (engine &
chassis) for year, make and model.
·
Must weigh ISR filed weight for year,
make and model.
·
Maximum cc’s is the class limit.
·
Sleds must maintain 3” of front
suspension compression travel (as measured at the front bumper)
·
Rear suspension must maintain 3” of rear
compression travel (as measured at the rear bumper)
·
No front suspension tie downs or
suspension limiting devices.
·
Tracks must be OEM for year, make and
model or an ISR filed replacement track as listed in the ISR yearbook.
·
Hi-fax (suspension slides) is mandatory.
·
The standard stud height rule applies to
these classes (3/4” above the track lug)
·
Air box, air filters or open carburetors
optional.
·
Sleds must adhere to all general rules
as stated in the ISR yearbook.
